Next step to reaching my goal

Today this is a post about my next step on what I want to achieve on khanacademy before the end of the year.

I have passed a lot of levels on khanacademy in a lot of different areas. But I want to excell in the area of shapes. What I want to know and pass is what all the
different shaes are calles and know straight away whether it is acute, obtuse or right angle.

To do this I am going to research it and watch the videos on khanacademy.  Hopefully next time I go on it I should be able to pass this level.

Reflective learning post

Today I have accomplished some pretty cool stuff, just like any other day but today is different because this post is my fifth reflection post.  So today  I am going to reflect on my learning at school.

(1.) I feel I have progressed a lot since starting at Myross Bush, because...........
I have progressed in my basic facts ladder a lot, in fact I have passed the whole thing so now I am working on Khan Academy. Also I am working on stage 7 maths above my expected level.

(2.) I have progressed in my spelling since I came to this school all thanks to the teachers because they have been pushing me and I have excelled in that area a lot because of the help I have received.
P.S I have passed all the rocket spelling list.

3. I would like to go on all day but I would just bore you so I am going to make it quick and snappy.
I would like to say thanks to Mr Herring if he is reading this because I think he it a great teacher and for all the help he has given me especially for putting up with me nagging to get a basic facts ladder test or rocket spelling so thank you.

Reflective post on camp.

The year six camp has been a most amazing time of my life,
that I would love to do again any day.

I am now going to share with you my great experience.
It was at Borland lodge, on a sunny Monday we left home to seek a great adventure.
All the year sixes that go to Myross bush went to this.

I think it is the best camp I have been to ( so far.) Because there were so many cool adventurous activities that tested your strengths.
The down side was that the sand flies were attacking me like crazy so I started a thing of eating them and worms.

Great things about this camp were, that we only had one day of rain but we still had lots of fun on that day and all the great activities we did. The food was great too. The activities that I most enjoyed were...
the rafting and I now have bruises on my legs because of when they hauled me back into the boat. Also the rock climbing it was so awesome because.
If I had a next time at this amazing camp ( which I might in the future ) I would bring lots of dry pairs of shoes because I was running low on them and lots more insect repellent.

Also last of all before I Bore you to death here is some advice to the year fives for next year: Take plenty of sand fly repellent because they just love your blood. Also have a good attitude and give everything a go.

P.S Here are some pictures of how the cabins look like.

Reflective learning post for this week

This week I have done some cool new learning A.K.A my MATHS I love MATHS and this is what I learnt today.
I learnt how to rename the improper fraction e.g 7 1/3 =22/3 because you times 7 and the 3 then you plus what you have on the top which is 1 and the answer is 22/3.
Now whenever I come to this problem again I will know how to work it out. So maybe I will be able to teach other people some day.

Reflection

This last year I have accomplished some amazing stuff, like the production I made it into a great part and I am really proud of myself. I first thought Oh I wont bother auditioning for it but I did and  I loved it so much. I love being on the stage.

I was going to audition for it and memorize it over the weekend but I forgot and on Monday I had to cram in as much in as I could.  After auditioning I didn't think I would get the part but I surprised myself so this has taught me to always go for my dreams.

Why we should ban smoking

I strongly believe we should ban smoking and all cigar outlets.  I am going to convince you why we should.

Did you know one drop of concentrated nicatine on the tongue is enough to kill you? Also the person who is smoking is pretty much pouring oil on their lungs. Also"The side-effects lung cancer, tongue cancer, big purple noses, purple faces etc,'' Said Ruby.B in my classroom.

Smoking can also have a fatal effect on the environment and yet we call ourselves clean green kiwis, well that is a lie calling our selves that! The people who aren't smoking get it worse, because we don't have a filter on the end.
So think what the animals will be inhailing too.

Smoking is like rolling up money and smoking it because it is expensive, because of the government. When most of the people who smoke run out of money they don't give a dam and just go to the tax payer and are on the doll. Then they spend that money that they get on more cigars when we could be spending it on helping with the Rena oil spill or with helping christchurch rebuild.  Or just maybe we could help with some of the poverty all over the world.

As I have conducted a survey I have found out of room 8, 26 people want those filthy things banned, and 1 person wanted it to not be banned.  So just think about it, what example are we setting for the future generation.

Reflecting on my learning

This term I am really proud of myself.
I have been pushing myself to pass all of my spelling on the rocket spelling program, at the start of this term I accomplished this.
I did this because I wanted to be the first to pass all the rocket spelling, now I don't have much spelling to do so that is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.
Now I get to pick my spelling words out of the dictionary, I try to pick the hardest so... my spelling brain is expanding all the time.
